Beautiful Bifolds & Composite Door in Claygate
When homeowners undertake a project such as a house extension, it’s important for them to find the ideal doors which lead to their outside areas and provide the functionality they want in the space. At the same time, many choose to update other features in their property such as their front door. That’s precisely what our customer in Claygate decided to do in September.
The Project – Installation of Bifolding Doors & a New Front Door
Our Surrey homeowner required a very large set of Smart Systems bifolds and an Oak Solidor to match their internal doors. After carrying out our site survey, we identified that as the bifolds were so large, we would need to extend the head of the doors.
The customer also wanted to update the front of their home with a new front door, choosing a composite Solidor. Composite front doors are popular for emulating the look and feel of real wood without the high level of upkeep that’s required with pure timber products.
The Results – Irish Oak Solidor & Anthracite Grey Bifolds
Our team installed a large 5-part set of anthracite grey bifolds which look beautiful in this Surrey home. They truly achieve a ‘wow’ factor, spanning the back of the house to give a light and airy feel to the newly created extension space. Our customers had spent four years renovating their original bungalow to a lovely two storey house. They felt these doors were their special purchases, pulling everything together for a great finish.
We also installed a Windsor Solidor front door in Irish Oak for the beautiful entrance of their home. This strong and secure front Solidor matches the internal wooden doors in the rest of the house. We also fitted a full height sidelight in satin obscure glass to match the new front door, helping to keep lots of light coming into the hallway. All of the products have satin silver furniture, achieving a uniform look throughout.
What Did Our Customer Think of the Results?
Hamiltons have been wonderful from start to finish. Joe (Sales) invited me to another of their installations and was able to show me a similar product so I was confident to purchase. Darren (Surveyor) provided hand drawn drawings with dimensions which I was able to show my builders, and provided further telephone support as I was making my rather large hole in the back of the house. I was kept well informed on a small delay to the original fitting date and Richard and his son Dan (Fitters) were friendly, punctual and tidy. Steph (Office) has been fantastic with paperwork and I have received Insurance Backed Warranties and Certass Certificates immediately upon completion. The bifolds add a wonderful ‘WOW’ factor to our house and Hamiltons also fitted a super Solidor front door and large glass. This is a great local company which I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to use again on future projects.
