Complete Replacement of All Windows & Doors to a Pretty Townhouse
However large or small your property is, it’s easy to completely update the look both inside out with new windows and doors which complement the style and character of the property. This homeowner in Kingston asked for our help to replace all the windows and doors in their beautiful townhouse. The project took place in March 2018.
The Project – Choosing a Beautiful Selection of uPVC Products
Our customer wanted all of their windows and doors replaced. While some customers think they have to stick to one style throughout, this is far from the case. This homeowner chose a range of styles, including casement windows and sash windows. They also selected a composite front door which emulated the appearance and feel of real wood.
This was a large project which spanned over three floors, requiring scaffolding for our installers to fit the windows at height safely. Platforms were erected at the front, rear and side of the property to give our team the access they needed. Ease of access was also important for ensuring all Georgian bars in the glass lined through equally.
The Results – A Completely Updated Look
From the stunning images, you can see just how effective the beautifully designed windows are. All were manufactured using high quality uPVC which we then supplied and installed throughout the home. The interior Georgian bars add a traditional look which is in keeping with the rest of the property. All windows had equal sightlines which is a beautiful feature, ensuring all the fixed windows line through with the opening parts. The windows on the second floor were also given toughened glass as chosen by the homeowners.
The composite front door design is from Solidor – one of the most popular front doors in the UK. Our customer opted for a dual colour finish with a rosewood shade on the outside and white on the inside. The finished look was achieved with decorative glazing which consisted of diamond red glass. Slam shut locking enhanced the security for this property. We also fitted one pair of French doors on the ground floor and another set on the first floor for the Juliet balcony.
